Admission criteria
The minimum requirement for entry into year 3 of the BA International Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management will normally be as follows:

· ÌýA HND in one of the aforementioned qualifications (Hospitality Management, International Events Management and Travel and Tourism) achieved within the previous 5 years with at least a C in the HNC graded unit and a B in HND graded unit.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý A satisfactory personal statement outlining the candidate’s:
§Ìý skills, knowledge and values in relation to the subject area;
§Ìý current or recent relevant experience;
§Ìý future ambitions.

English language requirement
Applicants must be able to communicate in English to a standard that is equivalent to level 6.0 of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no element below 5.5. Applicants who can demonstrate a minimum of two years of recent educational instruction in English may be exempt from taking the IELTS test.

Criminal conviction checks are not required for admission to the BA International Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management degree.

Non-standard entry
Applicants are required to have recently completed one of the relevant HND qualifications and non-standard entry will have been considered at the point of entry to the HND. No further adjustments for non-standard entry will be made for entry to the BA International Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management.
