Two of the negative pay gaps are slight at 0.3 % and 1.8 %, within these grades there are small numbers of staff. A more significant pay gap exists within grade 4 of 6.8 %, it is however noted that there are only 5 staff within this grade and only 1 male. It is noted that it was not possible to calculate gender gaps for each grade as in some cases there were no male comparators. It is noted that whilst the university has a negative pay gap amongst academic staff at grade 8, there is a positive pay gap, in favour of female employees for appointment salaries.
