After graduating with a BSc (hons) in Nutrition and Dietetics from Harokopio University in 2004, I continued my postgraduate studies in Nutrition (MSc) at King鈥檚 College London in 2008.
Since then, I have worked both in clinical practice and research. In clinical practice, I have involved in the delivery of dietary advice and dietetic plans in patients from various wards and the supervision of dietetic students. In research, I was involved in large epidemiological studies and health-promoting programmes. In particular, I was responsible for the design of healthy school meals as part of a Food Aid Programme and I was part of the scientific team that developed the Dietary Guidelines for the various groups of the Greek population (adults, children and adolescents, women and people aged over 65 years). Since then, I undertook further CPD courses in Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the University of Michigan in the US and in 2015, I was awarded a scholarship by the Joint Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education at Kingston University and St George鈥檚, University of London, to undertake a PhD in Nutrition Education.
I am currently in the stage of the final examination (viva). During my PhD, I was teaching undergraduate students and became an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Since 2018, I have been appointed as a project officer by the European Federation of Association of Dietitians and working on a Healthy Hydration Project.
