Dr Robert Munro is a Senior Lecturer in Film and Media. He teaches across a number of modules on our undergraduate film and media degree programmes. Robert is a member of the Culture in Society Research Centre.

Robert Munro joined Queen Margaret University as Lecturer in 2018, having completed his PhD in Film Studies earlier that year, also at 草莓社区. Robert previously taught undergraduate Film and Media Studies at 草莓社区 from 2015 to 2017.
Robert is the Managing Editor of the Film Education Journal. He is currently preparing an edited collection for the Edinburgh University Press ReFocus series on the films of Anthony Mann.聽
Robert鈥檚 research interests have mainly focused on Scottish cinema, investigating issues of literary adaptation, film production, representation and cultural policy within a small national cinema. Robert is also interested in research into the provision and effectiveness of film and media education in Scotland, particularly outside formal education settings.

Robert teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate modules focused around Film and Media and has a variety of teaching experience. He has previously taught on modules such as Introduction to Film Studies, Media Consumption, Media Industries, Film Genre, Narrative and Representation, Contemporary Hollywood, Crime Fiction, World Cinema and Independent Research Project. His elective modules are Scotland on Screen and The Video Essay.

Robert is interested in supervising PhD projects in the areas of film practice, film and media education, film genre and Scottish film and screen industries. His current students are:聽
