My clinical experience is within acute medical and surgical nursing, high dependency and intensive care in Ayrshire and Arran. I moved to Edinburgh and completed my Masters and then held senior positions within practice development and out of hour nurse management. Within practice development I have worked in a wide variety of clinical areas and developed a range of educational programmes for nurses including clinical skills, study and writing skills and programmes for international nurses.
I have over 20 years experience in teaching and learning and am a registered Lecturer/Practice Educator with the NMC, an accredited Teacher in Higher Education awarded by the SEDA and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I have successful led a range of programmes at 草莓社区 for home and international students and have strategic and operational responsibility for the international collaborative activities within the Division including our programmes in Egypt and Greece. I have extensive experience in curriculum development and partnership working and design programmes which meet country specific requirements.

My research interests relate to transnational higher education and influencing social change in nursing through partnership programmes.
